Gleich unterhalb der Zitadelle lie\u00df Kaiser Justinian (6.&nbsp;Jh.) die Basilika zu Ehren des Heiligen Johannes errichten. Nach der R\u00fcckkehr aus seiner Verbannung in Patmos soll der Apostel hier sein Evangelium verfasst haben, bevor er starb. Mit 130&nbsp;m L\u00e4nge und 40&nbsp;m Breite geh\u00f6rte die Johannes-Basilika zu den gr\u00f6\u00dften byzantinischen Kirchen ihrer Zeit.<\/p>\n<p>Heute ging es zun\u00e4chst durch das Delta des Kleiner M\u00e4ander.
